Question by dark_monk3y: do we really need to buy a 3D HD TV to see 3d games or movies on the ps3?

i was just watching videos for filmware upload for the ps3 to b able to watch blue-ray hd movies and to play video games .. do u really have to buy a 3d hd tv bc ur downloading a 3d update fore the ps3 so is true or not?
