Question by justin e: Do you need an 3d tv if you have a 3d bluray and 3d glasses?

If so why?

Doesn't the electronic 3D glasses interface with the 3D Bluray player?
In other words, doesn't the 3D Bluray operate the glasses?

Is there a 3D ready kit coming to turn regular HD LCD tv's into 3D LCD tv's?

You need all three and there is no way that you would have the glasses and not the TV. You need active shutter glasses that are powered, and are synced to a TV. Those glasses you get at the movies (polarized) or the two color red/blue style (anaglyph) won’t work.

I’ve only seen updates or kits for TVs that were originally sold as ’3D compatible’ like the some DLP TVs sold about 2-3 years ago.

Making a kit for regular TVs isn’t as simple as making some box to sync the glasses because even if you make such a box, it doesn’t mean the TV screen is capable of keeping up with the refresh rate needed which is 480hz for most sets, or 240 per eye.

And no the blu ray doesn’t sync the image, the TV does. The reason it’s that way is that if you synced at the player, the unit does not know how much delay the TV has and the that can cause all kinds of other problems.

Bottom line, you need a new TV that’s labeled as 3D with the ability to sync the glasses, you need the active shutter glasses, and a new blu ray player labeled as 3D HDMI 1.4, and you need a HDMI cable that meets the 1.4 spec, and finally, a proper blu ray, not the small handful of movies that are labeled 3D and use the 2 color glasses.

Of course you. You don’t need a Sony tv to play in 3d. Just like you don’t need a Sony tv to play games in HD. There are already games out not that support the 3d like motorstorm and wipeout HD. There are 5 that i heard of that support it those two are the ones i can think of off my head.

Question by Cee: Why is there such an issue with 3D TV? Why can’t we have a screen that makes it 3D already?

I’ve read some articles about the new 3D TVs that may be coming out, but my only question is why can’t they make the actual screen, the material for what makes the TV 3D? Or have an attachment that you place over the TV screen to make it pop 3D? So you won’t worry about having any shortage of 3D glasses… Does that sound stupid?

New technology to sell more electronics. I just bought
2 high def TV’s (plasma, 120hz LCD) and don’t need
to waste more on another one, I have heard nothing
of any attachment, also there is not much 3d content
out. You can still use your TV with the glasses to watch
it decently. It won’t be until 10 years when there will be
tons of 3d content. HD has been around for a while now
and I only get 40HD channels and 300SD channels still
with my cable.

The 3D channels haven’t been launched in the US yet. So as the time nears to when they are going actually broadcast in 3D, I’m sure more information will be out about how to tune in. Here is some information about the channels from www.3dtvinformation.com though:

Discovery, IMAX and Sony are working together to develop a 24-hour 3D network to come out in 2011 with entertainment, sports, and natural history tv shows. ESPN will have an all-3D channel premiering on June 11, 2010 for the World Cup that will air at least 85 events (including the Summer X Games, college basketball, and college football) for one year. When events are not playing on ESPN's channel, the screen will be blank. DirecTV and Panasonic have announced that they will work together to start 3 HD 3D channel by June 2010. They plan on broadcasting MLB All-Star games, MTV, CBS, and NBC.

Always been a sonic fan since back in the Sega Genesis days.. not so much now when sonic went into 3d and had last-boss theme music that was like pop music..

Ok so here are the questions i just cant seem to find anywhere, i googled and yahooed and msn’d and nothing..

1. I read somewhere that Sonics name isnt Sonic, if true, whats his real name and why did he change it to Sonic?

2. How did sonic get those red shoes?

3. Was Sonic just a normal hedgehog and then transformed into a bigger walking/talking hedgehog when he put the red shoes on? (similar to how the earthworm named Jim transformed into earthworm jim with the suite)

4. What are Sonics parents/siblings names?

5. Did Sonic run away from home? Never seen his parents in any Tv/Movie featuring him.
6. In a Sonic game, Shadow the Hedgehog asks Sonic “how did you use a fake chaos emerald for chaos control?” or something along those lines. Then asks “what are you?”.. Then Sonic says “what you see is what you get, im Sonic the hedgehog!”… What exactly IS Sonic? surely a typical walking blue hedgehog cant use Chaos Control on a fake emerald…

7. Did Sonic ever become friends with Shadow at the end of Sonic X after they beat that giant killer tree?

8. In one of those episodes in Sonic X, Sonic gets mad at the bad guy for physically hurting his friends.. Sonic gets mad, then turns a darkish blue and destroys too enemy robots similar to as if he was super sonic… How did Sonic get that kind of power without the emeralds?

9. Did Sonic ever finally give Amy a chance and have some youngins?

10. Did Sonic ever have a girlfriend before Amy? a family?

I’m thinking to purchase Compaq Pesario SR1903AP @SGD820.00, only the CPU without any monitor from HP online shopping, anyone use tis Desktop before? Look at the detail of tis PC since like not bad : Genuine Windows XP Home (Windows Vista Capable); Intel® Pentium® D processor 930 (#) with EM64T (3.0GHz, 2 x 2MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB); 512MB DDR2; Super Multi Drive with LightScribe Dual Layer 16X DVD±RW, NVIDIA GeForce 7300LE 3D PCI-Express Graphics (TurboCache supporting up to 256MB memory with TV-out port) but not so sure tis PC good or not, anyone can help or give me some comment?

I bought a Compaq Presario over a year ago and I have had nothing but problems with it. And, since Compaq and HP are one big happy company, I wouldn’t buy an HP either. If I were to get a PC, I would probably go with a Dell or a Gateway. I just bought a MacBook today because quite frankly, I am sick dealing with Windows related issues.

It would really help if you tell us about what the 3D movie was all about. As far as my research is concerned, this song has been used in helluva lot of movies such as Forrest Gump, etc. Tell us more about the story and what kind of characters there were in it.
