Question by Alan Jones: my sony XBR 3D TV does not function with my playstation 3?

i have the the SONY XBR-60LX900 and i updated my playstation to the 3.50 version (the one that is supposedly compatible to 3D games and blu ray) but if i try playing a 3d blu ray it says that the player is not compatible for 3D (the playstation) and when i was playing COD: Black ops i went to options and tried putting it in 3d (since the game is compatible with it) and it said that my TV is not compatible… any suggestions?

did you get the cable that does allow 3D?
you need an HDMI cable that also has 3D enabled. try searching in F.Y.E. for a $ 20 one.

Question by Brian Tosq: Do you need a 3D TV to play Killzone 3 in 3D?

I know that there are some games out for the PS3 like Batman that you can play in 3D on any TV, so i was wondering if you could use any TV to play this game. Im guessing not because its really powerful but just wondering.

Yes, you do need a 3d TV and those queer glasses. But you can still play it in 2d… so yeah.

Question by INCOMING!: To play 3D PS3 games, do I have to get a 3D TV?

Or can I just wear 3D glasses, while I play on a regular TV?

I was just curious because I’m planning on getting the games: Tron, and Motorstorm Apocalypse. Then I found out they were 3D!

No, console games will need a 3DTV.
PC games and 3D BluRay movies will work though.
For 3D BluRay playback you can currently get Cyber DVD 10.

Everything that are new are very expensive first. Like BluRay, DVD, LCD TV were ridiculously expensive, but now they are much cheaper than before. I think 3D TVs are developing, 2-3 years later it will be much better and more cheaper. I think Plasma TV are still expensive.

prices keep ” drop ” every six months. if you thinking of ” worth ” you can never OWN an TV.
3D LED TV prices will become ” cheapest ” after 3 years for sure, wait for another 3 Years , OH ! NO, new type improvement 3D TV with new 3D technology on that time also very sure !
so wait for another 3 -5 years for prices ‘ drop ‘. OH ! NO. New OLED 3D TV is on the market , why buy old technology, ? wait for OLED TV prices ‘ drop ” … NO END ! SIR !
LCD TV is cheap ? not really . those off brand low quality LCD TV is ‘ cheapest ” than before, but Quality Hi End LCD Tv never ” cheap ‘.
